If you are reading this, thank you for taking the time. I don’t know how you specifically are being impacted at this time, and I want to acknowledge wherever you are at. Emotionally, mentally, physically.. We are all experiencing something new for the first time, and it is taking its toll.
For 2020 I committed to a monthly newsletter to stay better connected to my people, and covid or not I am sending out a relatable newsletter. I have found myself struggling with words while writing this, so hopefully, my message conveys.
For me, the toughest part about most of this has been the lack of people connection and not knowing what’s in store for tomorrow. I am someone who thrives around people, routine and structures. I joke that if I am left without those things, I basically turn into a 6th grader. You get the picture.
My plan during this time is to keep my life as “normal” as possible. That is not easy, considering, I don’t even know what “normal” is right now. I do believe that if we can practice as much routine and good habit as possible, we can navigate through this situation calmer and with a little focus. (Fingers crossed)
On a very serious note, I do want to acknowledge that what is happening around us is life-altering in a number of ways for every person. Job losses, no school for our kids, self-isolation, businesses going out of business, sickness...the list can go on and on. There is zero sense of normalcy in our world right now, and it plain flat just sucks. However you are impacted, on a personal level, I want to say, I am sorry that you are going through this.
In regards to my business Serendipity Skin, I have chosen to temporarily close. The timeframe for this is undetermined, and I am rooting for sooner rather than later.
I am ok, and I will be ok, like all of you, there will be new territory to maneuver in the near future, and that is what we will do.

These are very simple things that I can do to support you, and in turn you are supporting me. Taking care of each other is important.
My final thought is that I would like to leave you with peace, joy, hope, and health. Do your part (whatever that looks like for you) Practice social distancing. Check on your people. People need people right now, in a way that none of us have experienced.
