What Are The Benefits of Pumpkin in Skin Care… Pumpkin Facials?!?!

This time of year, pumpkin is all the buzz, and it has even made its way into our skin care regimens and local salons.So what’s the big deal about pumpkin? Simply put…. Pumpkin is awesome! So how does a fruit that gets whipped up into a delicious pie or an amazing latte also make its way onto your face during your next facial? I am going to point out a few of my own answers below.

  • Fruit enzymes literally eat away dead skin build up. “Out with the old in with the new”.

Promotes Hydrated Skin through Dissolving Dry Skin

  • The exfoliating, enzymatic activity of pumpkin removes dry skin build up, which makes room for moisturizers to actually moisturize.


  • Pumpkin contains Vitamin E. Vitamin E is known to reduce inflammation, reduce pore size, control excess oil, which             leads to prevention of pimples, blackheads and blemishes.
